The 2026 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has declared that top party figures, including Iyiola Omisore and Babajide Omoworare, are united in a determined push to unseat Governor Ademola Adeleke in the 2026 gubernatorial election.
Speaking through his running mate, Kayode Adereti, at a youth engagement programme held at the APC state secretariat in Osogbo, Oyebamiji said the party has mapped out strategies aimed at securing a decisive victory.
He called on young people across the state to actively participate in the political process, urging them to mobilise against what he described as “deceptive governance” under the current administration.
Oyebamiji stressed the importance of collective action in reclaiming Osun, promising that an APC-led government would prioritise transparency, accountability, and sustainable development. He also appealed for peaceful participation, encouraging youths to turn out en masse and vote.
“Our youths must remain peaceful and committed. This is a defining moment to restore Osun’s pride and reposition the state for progress,” he said, adding that party unity across key regions, particularly Ife, remains strong.
He further noted that APC leaders, including former deputy governor Adeleke Adewoyin and other stakeholders across Ife South, East, and Central, are aligned in their mission to reclaim power from the ruling party.
Also speaking at the event, APC Zonal Youth Leader Adesuyi Daramola urged youths to begin grassroots mobilisation efforts, including door-to-door campaigns, ahead of both the 2026 governorship election and the 2027 presidential poll.
Meanwhile, the convener of the youth stakeholders’ meeting, Olayioye Alabi, described young people as the backbone of the party, pledging intensified efforts to expand youth participation and secure electoral victory for the APC.
