Atleast 9 Aspirants Storm Out of Lagos APC Governorship Primaries

At least  nine aspirants left the venue of the  All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos Governorship primaries in the middle of  the exercise, apparently, dissatisfied with its conduct.
However, three aspirants, stayed behind. They are : Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, Senator Ganiyu Solomon and Mr Adekunle Disu.
Aspirants may take APC to court
Speaking to journalists in telephone interview, one of the aspirants who walked out from the primaries, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, expressed his displeasure about the primaries, saying that there were lot of lapses ‎on the part of the committee saddled with the responsibility of the primaries.
He alleged that the party’s delegate lists which was suppose to have been made available to the aspirants, was not made available until the day of election.
Also kicking against the primaries, Mr Adebiyi Afolayan, the media aide to Dr. Leke Pitan‎, said  that his boss is not satisfied with the primaries and he is going to address a press conference for the public to know his position.
“The position of Dr Leke Pitan about APC governorship primaries would be know tomorrow (today). So, I don’t want to speak for him but I can tell you confidently that he is not satisfy with the primary,” he said.
It was gathered from a reliable source that 11 APC governorship aspirants expressed dissatisfaction about the process of the party’s primaries and they are set to take the party to court over allegation that the primaries was marred by a lot of irregularities.
“I can tell you that my principal and some other aspirants are not satisfy with the outcome of the primaries. In fact the 11 aspirants is going to write a petition to the party leadership. You know some of the aspirants are lawyers so they will address the matter constitution. They are likely to take the party to court if their complain are not quickly addressed,” the source disclosed .
‎Meanwhile as at the time of this reports, delegates from 16 local governments out of 20 local governments in Lagos have voted. The council with the number of their delegates are; Epe (291), Badagry (305), Ikorodu (498), Ibeju-Lekki (189), Ojo (237), Agege (193), Ifako-Ijaye (214), Alimosho (583), Mushin (280), Eti-Osa (329), Ajeromi-Ifelodun (243), Amuwo-Odofin (212), Kosofe (299), Ikeja (290), Somolu (243) and Oshodi-Isolo (282), while 196 delegates Apapa Local Government Area have commenced voting.
 
UPDATE:
Voting by delegates at the Lagos Governorship primaries has been concluded.
Meanwhile,  societygists reports that other contestants have left the venue leaving behind Akinwunmi Ambode, as counting of votes begins.
