In a recent interview on Ife Agoro’s show, Bisola recounted how he passed away while hospitalized for an illness. The family had been optimistic after doctors set a discharge date, and Bisola said he even sounded better during a phone conversation confirming he would be leaving the hospital that Friday.
Tragically, just days later, Bisola received a call from someone using his phone, delivering the devastating news of his death. She described the moment as crushing for her, her mother, and her sister. At the time, Leyla was only eight years old, making it one of the hardest moments Bisola had to endure—telling her young daughter about the loss.
“He had always been actively involved in Leyla’s life and regularly checked on her,” Bisola shared. “It was a heartbreaking experience. We visited him in the hospital, and he died on Friday. We had even spoken over the phone, and he was sounding better, planning to be discharged. Later, someone called me on his phone from the hospital and said he was no more.”
