Nollywood actress Bisola Badmus has thrown her support behind colleague Biola Bayo following intense backlash over an interview involving Baba Ijesha.
In a public show of solidarity, Bisola shared a video clip of herself and Biola on a movie set, commending her colleague’s character and urging her to remain calm despite the criticism.
“Your kindness and strength are what make you unique and stand out, my darling… Please be calm, everything is under control,” she wrote.
The controversy erupted after Baba Ijesha made remarks during the interview addressing rape allegations and his relationship with Iyabo Ojo. His comments sparked outrage online, with many social media users criticising both him and Biola Bayo for hosting the conversation.
Amid the backlash, Biola Bayo took down the interview from her YouTube and Instagram platforms.
She has since issued a public apology, expressing regret over the situation and firmly stating that she does not—and will never—support sexual violence.
Biola also apologised to Iyabo Ojo and Nigerians at large, clarifying her stance and seeking to address concerns raised by the public.
The incident has continued to generate conversations online about accountability, media responsibility, and sensitivity when addressing serious allegations.
