President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a peaceful and secure Nigeria where citizens can freely worship, pursue their aspirations and live without fear.

In his Eid-el-Kabir message to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world, the President said his government would sustain investments in critical sectors aimed at improving national security, economic growth and social development.

According to him, the administration remains focused on creating a nation where peace, opportunity and stability thrive for all citizens regardless of background.

“My administration remains committed to building a Nigeria where all citizens can live in peace, worship freely, and pursue their dreams without fear,” Tinubu stated.

The President said the government would continue to prioritise investment in security, infrastructure, agriculture and human capital development as part of efforts to reposition the country for sustainable progress.

He also urged Muslim faithful to use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration as a period of prayer for national peace, unity and wisdom for leaders across all levels of government.

Tinubu called on Nigerians to reject criminality and support efforts aimed at restoring peace and order in troubled communities.

“Let us pray that those who commit crimes among us may rethink and abandon their evil ways, or face the full weight of the law,” he said.

The President further encouraged citizens to extend love and support to the less privileged while strengthening national unity and brotherhood.

He described Eid-el-Kabir as a festival that symbolises faith, sacrifice, obedience and compassion, values exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

Tinubu noted that Nigeria was undergoing a period of reconstruction and renewal, stressing that ongoing economic reforms, though challenging, were necessary to secure a more prosperous future for the country.

According to him, the sacrifices made by Nigerians and the government over the past three years were beginning to yield positive results, including improved economic stability and growing investor confidence.

“The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here,” the President declared.

While acknowledging persistent security threats posed by terrorists and bandits in parts of the country, Tinubu assured Nigerians that the government would not relent in tackling insecurity.

“I assure you: you are neither abandoned nor forgotten. We will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil,” he added.

The President wished Nigerians a peaceful and joyful Eid-el-Kabir celebration, praying for continued peace, blessings and national progress.
