The first executive governor of Osun State, Mr Isiaka Adeleke, has appeared before the State Standing Commission of Inquiry on Disturbance of Public Peace sitting at the State High Court in Osogbo, Osun state over the alleged assault on him by the Minister of Police Affairs, Mr Jelili Adesiyan, Sen Iyiola Omisore and one other person.
Senator Adeleke, who presented two witnesses before the commission, said he informed the Police, the State Governor, Public Complaints Commission and the Presidency immediately after the incident for necessary actions.
He prayed the Commission to invite and caution all the respondents against such act in future, while also calling for appropriate recommendations on them to serve as deterrent to others.
Ruling on the matter, Chairman of the Commission, Justice Moshood Adeigbe said the commission was not set-up by the State Government to pass judgment but to settle matters amicably.
Justice Adeigbe however adjourned the case to the November 10, 2014 for further hearing.
