Desmond Elliot has denied giving out bribe on election day in Surulere, Lagos in an apparent response to a picture posted on social media platforms, Facebook and Twitter.
According to his Publicist, Tunde Moshood, he reveal as thus:
Our attention has been drawn to the wicked rumour flying around that, star actor cum APC’s congressman-to-be, Desmond Elliot was caught this morning sharing money for the electorates in Surulere, Lagos in order to buy their votes, this is not just funny but an attempt by detractors to turn the teeming fans of the award winning actor against him.
In the purported photograph which is currently going viral, Desmond was donned in a full regalia of a typical high octane rating Owambe gathering.
Fellow Lagosians, will a Desmond Elliot you know wear this kind of attire to the polling booth to vote bearing in mind the hustling and bustling nature of today? And more so, does that atmosphere even suggest a polling area?
Far from it! The said photograph was taken weeks back at a social function but knowing rival party for their mudslinging antics, they decided to bring it up to discredit the obviously rising political star.

Elliot who is contesting for a seat at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Surulere Constituency, posted a picture of him and his grandmother shortly after he was accredited.
