The management of Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee has denied reports linking his ongoing legal case in the United Kingdom to allegations of drink spiking.
The clarification comes amid growing discussions and unverified claims circulating on social media concerning the case involving the entertainer, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Poco Lee’s management urged the public and media organisations to exercise caution when discussing the matter, stressing that the case is currently before the UK courts.
Poco Lee is scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, for plea and trial preparation.
Addressing the reports, his management specifically disputed claims that drink spiking forms part of the allegations or charges currently before the court.
The team said the introduction of such claims into public discussions was capable of spreading misinformation and unfairly prejudicing the parties involved.
The statement read in part: “Allegations are not evidence of guilt, and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process.”
The management further expressed concern over what it described as the circulation of unverified narratives, particularly references to “drink spiking” and other allegations it said were not contained in the actual case before the court.
It urged members of the public and the media to refrain from attributing allegations to the case without verified information.
According to the team, doing so could contribute to misinformation and create unfair prejudice while the judicial process is still ongoing.
Poco Lee’s management also emphasised the importance of the right to a fair hearing, maintaining that individuals should have their cases determined through due process rather than public opinion or social media commentary.
“Every individual is entitled to a fair hearing and to have their matter determined by due process of law, not by public opinion,” the statement added.
The entertainer’s team said it would continue to provide updates through official channels when necessary and appealed to the public to allow the UK judicial system to determine the outcome of the case.
For now, the allegations remain unproven, and the court proceedings will determine the eventual outcome.
