Popular social media influencer and self-acclaimed relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.

Blessing CEO appeared before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, to answer a two-count charge bordering on fraud and theft.

According to the EFCC, the influencer allegedly obtained N69.15 million from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited in March 2025 under false pretences. Prosecutors told the court that she claimed ownership of a property located at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, and represented it as available for a five-year lease agreement.

The anti-graft agency further alleged that the funds paid for the lease were subsequently diverted for personal use.

During the proceedings, defence counsel Nkama Nneka informed the court that the charges had only recently been served on her client. However, Justice Oshodi directed that the matter proceed, after which the charges were read and explained to the defendant.

Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to all counts.

The latest arraignment comes weeks after the influencer was first brought before the court by the EFCC on May 15, 2026, over a separate alleged N36 million property-related fraud involving a lease transaction in Lekki.

Reports indicate that she secured bail in the sum of N10 million in the earlier case on the same day as the latest court appearance.

The new allegations have heightened public attention on the influencer, who enjoys a significant following on social media for her relationship and lifestyle content.

Justice Oshodi subsequently ordered that Blessing CEO be remanded in EFCC custody pending the hearing of her bail application. The court adjourned the matter until July 16, 2026, for the consideration of bail and commencement of trial.

The case remains before the court, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
