Family Announces Burial Arrangements for Late Adolphus Oladele Okuwobi
The family of the late Mr. Adolphus Oladele Okuwobi has announced the burial arrangements for their beloved patriarch, who passed away at the age of 90.
In a statement released by the family, the final rites for the revered nonagenarian will take place from June 18 to June 20, 2026, bringing together family members, friends, associates, and well-wishers to celebrate a life defined by integrity, wisdom, and service to humanity.
The three-day funeral programme will commence on Thursday, June 18, with the departure of the deceased’s body from Ayinke House, Ikeja, Lagos, to his hometown of Esure Town in Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State. A wake-keep ceremony will subsequently be held in his honour.
Funeral service for the late patriarch is scheduled for Friday, June 19, at his residence in Esure Town, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The service is expected to attract community leaders, religious figures, family members, and associates who will gather to pay their final respects.
The burial activities will culminate on Saturday, June 20, with a grand reception at Anchor Event Place, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos, starting at noon.
Guests at the celebration of life will be entertained by renowned musician Tolu Obey and Fuji icon Ambassador Sulaimon Adio, popularly known as Atawewe.
The family described the late Mr. Okuwobi as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose enduring legacy of love, discipline, and community service will continue to inspire generations.
The event is being coordinated by renowned event planner Mrs. Jumoke Adebayo, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of 1st JMK Events, who is expected to bring elegance and excellence to the three-day ceremony.
