BBNaija star Segun Olusemo, popularly known as Sheggz, has broken his silence on his separation from fellow reality star Bella Okagbue, denying allegations of abuse and infidelity.
Sheggz addressed the development in a lengthy post on X, explaining that he had initially chosen to remain silent out of respect for his family and his private nature.
However, he said he decided to speak after continued speculation about the circumstances surrounding the end of his relationship with Bella.
“I am not an abuser. For clarity, I did not cheat on Bella, and I have been single since January 2026,” Sheggz stated.
The reality TV star described 2025 as a difficult period for him, revealing that he spent considerable time in hospital before travelling to England for further treatment and recovery.
According to him, he returned to Nigeria in October 2025 and subsequently came across information that raised questions about the honesty and trust within his relationship.
Sheggz said he had given several opportunities for the truth to emerge since 2024, but claimed that those efforts did not resolve the issues between them.
The couple began their relationship during the 2022 BBNaija Level Up season and remained together for nearly four years before their relationship officially ended in January 2026.
Sheggz also disclosed that they made attempts to reconcile after their initial separation but struggled with unresolved issues surrounding trust and respect.
He said he genuinely wanted the relationship to succeed and had even bought a ring because he believed they could have a future together.
According to him, despite the love and effort invested in the relationship, they eventually reached a point where continuing together was no longer right for either party.
Sheggz added that he had made repeated efforts to save the relationship while acknowledging that Bella’s family might have a different perspective on the breakup.
The BBNaija star said he now wants to put the matter behind him and move forward without engaging in a public dispute with his former partner.
“I have no desire for hostility or public back and forth. I simply want to move forward peacefully with dignity and respect for everyone involved,” he said.
Sheggz wished Bella well and expressed hope that both parties, as well as their supporters, would eventually move on from the controversy peacefully.
His statement comes amid renewed online speculation surrounding the couple’s breakup and previous allegations made against him.
