Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has opened up about her experience following a recent non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure, admitting that she was initially unhappy with her appearance.
The actress shared a video on Instagram on Friday showing her face one day after the treatment.
In the video, Ogbodo revealed that her face was noticeably swollen and looked different from her usual appearance.
She expressed disappointment with the initial result but said she remained hopeful that the swelling would subside and her appearance would improve.
According to the actress, her doctor had assured her that the swelling was temporary and that her face would look better in the coming days.
“This is day one after my facial rejuvenation; my whole face is swollen. Honestly, I don’t know. I look so different; I don’t like how I look, but I think it’s going to get better,” she said.
Ogbodo also explained in the caption accompanying the video that her decision to undergo the procedure was about self-care rather than trying to achieve perfection.
She said her goal was to look refreshed, youthful and confident while still maintaining her natural appearance.
The actress stressed that she does not feel pressured to age in any particular way, describing the decision as a personal choice.
She added that the procedure marked the beginning of a journey towards embracing herself and feeling more confident in her appearance.
“I’m not chasing perfection. I’m simply choosing to look refreshed, youthful, confident and very much like myself,” she wrote.
Ogbodo further described the process as her personal journey, adding that she was ready to embrace the changes and “glow” with confidence.
