Yoruba Nollywood actress Tayo Odueke, popularly known as Sikiratu Sindodo, has expressed regret over publicly announcing her romantic relationship with National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) leader Musiliu Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo.
In a recent interview with Oyinmomo TV on YouTube, the actress reflected on the decision, stating that keeping personal matters private is sometimes the better option. When asked about the reasons behind their breakup, Sindodo declined to elaborate, describing it as “a long story” she would rather not discuss.
She admitted that announcing the relationship online ultimately proved unworthwhile. “Sometimes, it’s better to keep things private. I envy my colleagues who kept their affairs out of the public eye. I regret announcing my relationship with Alhaji MC Oluomo. It wasn’t worth it,” she said.
Sindodo noted that MC Oluomo treated her kindly during their time together, which initially influenced her decision to make the relationship public. “He was very good to me and treated me well, which is why I published his name. But I shouldn’t have,” she added. She also remarked that in a marriage, people would eventually learn of a partner’s identity, and at the time she saw no reason to conceal it.
The actress’s comments highlight the challenges celebrities face when balancing personal relationships with public scrutiny in the entertainment industry.
