Nollywood actor and filmmaker Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele, has reflected on his journey to success after his film Koleoso achieved a historic milestone of 100 million views on YouTube, becoming the first Nollywood title and African movie to reach the feat.

Taking to Instagram, Itele attributed the landmark achievement to discipline, consistency, and unwavering focus, noting that his success was built on deliberate choices rather than shortcuts.

According to the filmmaker, he consciously chose discipline over distraction and consistency over excuses, stressing that the journey was marked by pressure, faith, and trust in the process rather than noise or instant gratification.

“From overlooked to overwhelming. That boy from the hood they once ignored chose discipline over distraction and consistency over excuses,” he wrote.

He further reflected on his growth, recalling how he evolved from being ignored to making a global impact through hard work and persistence.

“No shortcuts. No noise. Just focus, pressure, and faith in the process. If it can rise from the hood to global impact, you can do it too,” he added.

Itele described the success of Koleoso as proof that dreams respond to hard work, encouraging aspiring creatives to let their results speak and allow their journeys to inspire others.

“Let the results speak. Let the journey inspire. This is proof that dreams respond to work,” he concluded.
