Fuji music legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1, is confirmed to headline the 2026 Nigeria Independence Party in London.
The high-profile cultural celebration is being organised by show promoter Chief Mrs Bola Olatise through her company, Alexes Promotions Ltd. The event is scheduled for Thursday, 1 October 2026, at the Meridian Grand, Advent Way, London, and is designed as a major cultural showcase for the Nigerian diaspora and the wider African community.
Supporting the headliner will be DJ Mind D Gap, with hosting duties handled by Abidemi Alaran and Toplotech Entertainment. Industry observers have noted that securing K1 for the UK date underscores the expanding influence of Alexes Promotions in connecting Nigerian entertainment with international audiences.
Tickets will be available in a tiered structure ranging from standard entry to VVIP packages, with table bookings managed directly by the promoters.
Chief Mrs Bola Olatise began her professional career in healthcare before expanding into entrepreneurship. In the United Kingdom she has built businesses that include nursery schools, care homes and property firms, alongside Alexes Promotions. In Nigeria she oversees Happygems Group of Companies, a conglomerate with interests in real estate, construction, oil and gas, agriculture and education.
