House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas has assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that all three senatorial zones of Kaduna State are now united behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections. He pledged a sweeping victory for the ruling party across the state.

Abbas made the declaration during a meeting at the State House, Abuja, where he led a delegation of Kaduna stakeholders, including Senator Sunday Marshall Katung and former Senator Shehu Sani.

Describing the engagement as strategic, the Speaker said the visit aimed to brief the President on APC’s growing acceptance across Kaduna.

“This is Kaduna in summary. We are here to assure Mr. President that APC has been accepted 100 per cent in all the nooks and crannies of Kaduna, and to tell him that 2027 is guaranteed — a landslide from zone one to zone two to zone three,” Abbas stated.

He noted that unlike previous election cycles, the APC’s influence now extends beyond the northern and central zones into the southern zone, historically a PDP stronghold. Abbas credited this shift to Governor Uba Sani’s inclusive governance and developmental projects, which have attracted broad support across religious and regional divides.

Highlighting recent defections, Abbas mentioned Senator Katung and other former PDP officials who have joined the APC, further consolidating the party’s dominance in the state.

Senator Katung reaffirmed Southern Kaduna’s commitment to the APC, citing federal and state projects such as a new university and a Federal Medical Centre as key factors driving political realignment.

Shehu Sani hailed the unprecedented unity across Kaduna’s historically divided political and religious lines, calling it a “shared political front” to re-elect Governor Sani and President Tinubu in 2027. He attributed the alignment to verifiable achievements in healthcare, education, and infrastructure, as well as the governor’s inclusive leadership style.

“Our presence here is to assure Mr. President that we will do everything possible to repay the confidence reposed in us, based on the projects and achievements on the ground,” Sani added.
