Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano North Senatorial District have declared their readiness to deliver a landslide victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin in the 2027 general elections.

The pledge was made during a Kano North APC stakeholders’ meeting convened by Senator Barau on Saturday in Kano. The gathering brought together party leaders, elected officials, grassroots politicians, commissioners, and members of the National and State Assemblies to strategise and consolidate unity ahead of the polls.

‘Kano North Will Deliver’
Addressing attendees, Barau said the meeting was aimed at strengthening internal cohesion and positioning Kano North as the APC’s stronghold in the state.

“We are united and focused. Kano North will stand firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. Our structure is intact, and we will work tirelessly to ensure their victories,” he said.

He expressed confidence that, with proper mobilisation, the district would deliver overwhelming votes for all APC candidates in 2027.

26 Cars, 141 Motorcycles for Grassroots Leaders
In a move to bolster grassroots coordination, Barau announced the donation of 26 vehicles and 141 motorcycles to party officials across the 13 local government areas in the senatorial district. Chairmen and vice-chairmen are to receive cars, while councillors and secretaries will be given motorcycles.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, the initiative is designed to enhance mobility, outreach, and voter engagement.

“Our chairmen, vice chairmen, councillors, and secretaries are the engine room of our political structure. Supporting them means strengthening our base,” Barau said, urging members to set aside differences in the interest of unity.

Lawmakers, LG Chairmen Pledge Loyalty
Also speaking, Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe, representing Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimin Gado Federal Constituency, reaffirmed support for Tinubu and Abba’s second-term bids and assured Barau of Kano North’s cooperation.

Speaking on behalf of the 13 local government chairmen, Jamilu Danbatta, Chairman of Danbatta LGA, described Barau as a transformative leader and pledged full electoral backing.

Similarly, the Deputy Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Muhammad Bello Butu-Butu, praised Barau’s performance, stating that Kano North had not witnessed such representation in years.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous commitment from party stakeholders to work collectively for the re-election of President Tinubu, Senator Barau, and Governor Abba—signalling what observers describe as a significant consolidation of political influence in Kano North ahead of 2027.
