The Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority has unveiled a new electronic platform aimed at simplifying and accelerating the process of obtaining physical planning permits across the state.

The General Manager of LASPPPA, Kehinde Osinaike, disclosed this in a statement issued by the ministry’s Director of Public Affairs, Abimbola Emdin-Umeh.

According to Osinaike, the platfor known as the Electronic Physical Planning Permit Processing System was developed under the e-LASPPPA initiative to modernise permit approvals and improve service delivery.

He explained that the system allows residents, property developers, and other stakeholders to apply for and process planning permits online from any location, eliminating the need for physical visits and reducing bureaucratic bottlenecks.

Osinaike noted that the digital solution is expected to significantly cut delays associated with manual processing, while making the approval process faster, more efficient, and user-friendly.

He added that the platform would boost transparency, accountability, and compliance with building regulations, ensuring that developments across Lagos align with approved standards.

Describing the initiative as a key step toward digital governance, Osinaike said it reflects the government’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance public service delivery.

He urged residents, developers, and investors to embrace the platform for their permit applications, noting that it aligns with Lagos State’s broader vision of building a smart, technology-driven system capable of supporting its rapidly growing population.
