The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has congratulated Muslims in Lagos State and across Nigeria on the celebration of Eid al-Adha, urging citizens to embrace peace, unity, and sacrifice for national development.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Dave Agboola, the Speaker described Eid al-Adha as a period of reflection, gratitude, and commitment to values that promote harmony and national progress.
Obasa noted that the festival goes beyond its spiritual significance, stressing that it serves as a reminder of the need for togetherness and collective responsibility in building a stronger society.
According to him, Nigerians should use the occasion to renew their commitment to national growth while supporting leadership focused on development and prosperity.
The Speaker also commended Nigerians, especially members of the All Progressives Congress, for their impressive participation in the recently concluded party primaries.
He said the massive turnout reflected the confidence of Nigerians in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubuand the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“The APC primaries have shown the resilience of our democracy and the confidence Nigerians have in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda. This is a strong message that our people are ready to continue supporting policies that will drive growth and prosperity,” Obasa stated.
He further urged Muslims to celebrate responsibly and pray for the continued peace, unity, and progress of Lagos State and the country at large.
Obasa also wished Muslims a joyful and fulfilling Eid al-Adha celebration on behalf of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
