The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has dismissed reports of internal tension within the party in Oyo State, insisting that the situation does not constitute a crisis.

Speaking on ARISE News on Wednesday, Morka described the developments as routine political engagement, driven by aspirants positioning themselves for party offices.

“It’s not about crisis. It’s about people doing what they are supposed to do — taking interest and asserting themselves for positions,” he said, adding that the situation amounts to “normal banter” rather than any formal dispute.

Morka noted that disagreements are inevitable within a party as large as the All Progressives Congress, especially during competitive selection processes.

“We are the largest party in this country, and maybe on the continent. When many people are vying for limited positions, disagreements and competition are expected,” he stated.

Addressing controversy surrounding the reported N5.1 million payment by an aspirant, Fubara Dagogo, Morka clarified that the party operates a transparent system where participants willingly comply with established guidelines.

“We don’t ‘collect’ money. We publish our rules, including account details. Anyone who pays does so voluntarily and is presumed to understand the conditions,” he explained.

He added that the party remains open to resolving concerns raised by members, including financial matters, noting that dialogue within party structures remains an option.

“Once they pay, these are party men we respect. If there are issues, they can come forward for discussions — whether about refunds or other concerns,” Morka said.

Looking ahead, the APC spokesman expressed confidence that the party’s forthcoming convention would reinforce unity and outline its strategic direction.

“Nigerians should expect a strong statement from the APC — consolidating its structures and advancing its vision,” he added.
