Former Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem housemate and influencer Tacha Akide has given rare insight into her love life, revealing she is currently seeing someone but refuses to go public until a serious commitment is on the table.
Speaking candidly on the Morayo Afolabi show, the reality TV star and beautician explained her deliberate decision to keep the relationship under wraps.
“Well, there’s something I like, but if there’s no ring, are you going to come and say I’m in a relationship? I would say that he’s somebody I like, but who knows? I could be on the show next week and say I’m not in a relationship, break up and come back, but for now I’m in a relationship,” she said.
Tacha noted that the move is largely self-protective. Public breakups in the entertainment industry, she observed, often attract intense scrutiny and commentary she would rather avoid.
She also highlighted the loneliness that can accompany fame. “In this industry, you need that one person because it is always lonely at the top,” she stated.
Turning to the qualities she seeks in a partner, Tacha expressed a clear preference for reserved men.
“Wow, I love very quiet guys. I want you to be very talky around me, very outspoken around me, but outside maintain steeze, somebody that keeps to himself, an amazing hardworking guy and also need to love God as much as I do,” she explained.
She was equally firm about physical appearance and financial stability: “Please I don’t like beautiful man, I should be the very fine one and then have money too so I will not be managing your roller coaster of emotions.”
The influencer’s comments offer a glimpse into how she navigates romance while remaining firmly in the public eye.
