Nollywood actress and African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate Doris Ogala has launched a fierce attack on Apostle Johnson Suleman, General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, over his recent comments praising Abia State Governor Alex Otti.
Suleman had publicly stated that Otti’s performance in office was strong enough for the governor to secure a second term with little campaigning. Ogala responded in an Instagram post, questioning the cleric’s credibility and accusing him of making claims about Abia without firsthand knowledge of conditions in the state.
The actress, who is contesting the forthcoming Abia governorship election, particularly challenged Suleman’s assertion that the state enjoys 24-hour electricity. She insisted that residents on the ground continue to suffer and accused some self-styled pastors of using religion to mislead the public, especially Nigerians in the diaspora, instead of engaging in legitimate work.
“Most people you see that call themselves pastors are lazy people who couldn’t work but decided to call themselves and start deceiving by claiming God called them. Some even go extra mile to involve in voodoo. Suleman Johnson, what is his work? Does that man look and behave like a pastor?” Ogala wrote.
She further alleged that she possessed damaging information about the clergyman, including details of events at Protea Hotel in Lagos, and warned that she was prepared to make them public. Ogala described Suleman’s comments as a direct attack on her and the people of Abia, declaring that she would not tolerate what she called deception.
“How dare you come to lie that there is 24 hrs light in Abia? And you claim you were not campaigning. Not under my watch, I will not allow people like Johnson Suleman deceive my people any more… You haven’t been to Abia and you openly affirmed Alex Otti. Suleman, it will shock you when I decide to expose you to the whole world,” she added.
Ogala concluded by daring Suleman to involve the police or judiciary, stating she was ready to confront him with evidence.
