Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, the Iya Sunnah of Egbaland and Ameerah General of Ogun State, Hajia (Dr.) Yemi Sowunmi-Kolapo, received blessings for her political journey at the 60th Olohungbo Maulud Nabiyy anniversary in Abeokuta.
The annual Qadriyyah Sufi celebration drew tens of thousands of Muslim faithful from all over the world to Abeokuta, Ogun State, under the leadership of Sheikh Qaribullah Nasir Kabara, who attended in person with a large entourage of Sheikhs from Kano.
He, along with Sheikhs and Imams present at the all-night Maulud celebration, blessed Kolapo’s political journey, describing her as a Muslim worthy of emulation.
The leader of the Qadriyyah Sufi movement in Ogun State, Sheikh Abdul Azeez Olohungbo, specifically prayed for the success of the political pursuit of the PDP deputy governorship candidate and her principal, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu.
He also announced the conferment of the title of Iya Adinni Qadriyyah of Ogun State on Kolapo.
Kolapo is the Zeenatul Qadriyyah of Nigeria.
