The Accord Party has declared that it is confident of winning the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, urging residents to come out in large numbers to vote for the party’s candidate.

The party also called on Nigerians to support Accord candidates in the 2027 general elections, saying it remains committed to providing inclusive governance and quality leadership across the country.

The appeal was made on Friday when chairmen of the party from various states paid a courtesy visit to the National Chairman, Maxwell Mgbudem.

Addressing the delegation, Mgbudem stressed the importance of unity within the party, saying he remains open to constructive advice aimed at strengthening Accord into a formidable political platform with national appeal.

He urged members to remain focused on building a united party capable of delivering victory for all its candidates in the forthcoming elections. He also cautioned them against anti-democratic elements allegedly attempting to create division within the party due to its growing popularity.

The national chairman advised members with grievances to utilise the party’s internal mechanisms and alternative dispute resolution channels in line with the party’s constitution, assuring them that all disputes would be resolved amicably.

Mgbudem expressed confidence that Accord members would approach future elections as one united family, adding that the party is prepared to offer Nigerians competent, compassionate leadership and good governance.

The party also maintained that Governor Ademola Adeleke has performed well during his first term while reiterating its determination to secure victory in the Osun governorship election and expand its electoral success in 2027.
