Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said his major challenger in the just-concluded governorship election, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), should be the one to call and congratulate him on his victory.
Adeleke made the statement during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him the winner of the election.
The governor said the outcome of the election was clear, stressing that his APC challenger ought to acknowledge the result and congratulate him.
Adeleke’s comments came after INEC officially announced the results of the keenly contested governorship poll, which saw him secure another term in office.
The governor’s victory has since attracted congratulatory messages from political leaders and stakeholders across the country.
