The Oyo State High Court, sitting in Ibadan, has validated the 2025 National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), held on November 15 and 16, 2025, in the Oyo State capital.
Justice Ladiran Akintola of Court 5 delivered the judgment on Friday, shortly after ruling on an application for joinder and dismissing an application for stay of proceedings filed by Nwachukwu and other parties.
In a decisive ruling, the court granted all 13 reliefs sought by the claimant, Folahan Malomo Adelabi, through his counsel, Musbau Adetunmbi.
The judgment effectively affirms the legitimacy of the convention and all decisions reached during the exercise.
With the ruling, the emergence of the Dr. Taminu Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC) has been formally validated, reinforcing the leadership structure produced at the November convention.
The decision is expected to have significant implications for the internal dynamics of the PDP and its preparations ahead of future political engagements.
Further details are expected to emerge as reactions trail the court’s pronouncement.
