Veteran Nollywood actor Pa James has commended Wale Adenuga Productions for its professionalism and consistent prompt payment of actors.

Speaking during a recent interview with Lucky Udu, the actor expressed gratitude for the opportunities he enjoyed while working on the popular Papa Ajasco series.

Pa James highlighted the company’s commitment to fair compensation, noting that actors are paid promptly regardless of the size of their roles.

According to him, the production outfit once paid him for attending a meeting that lasted just five minutes, describing the gesture as a testament to its respect for actors’ time and effort.

Reflecting on his journey with Papa Ajasco, the actor said what he initially thought would be a short-term project turned into a long-running engagement that significantly improved his financial standing.

He recalled that his earnings from the series enabled him to achieve personal milestones, including purchasing a car.

“The day he called me about Papa Ajasco, I thought it would last just a few weeks, but it went on for years. They never owed us. Even if it was just a brief meeting, they would still pay,” he said.

Pa James also expressed joy over the longevity of the show, particularly during its 25th anniversary celebration, describing it as a proud moment in his career.

When asked about his greatest achievement from the series, the actor credited the production company for positively impacting his life, especially financially.

The remarks come amid recent claims by Papa Ajasco regarding financial struggles despite earnings from the show—claims that have since been disputed by the production company.
