In the wake of the Court of Appeal’s judgment affirming the nullification of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention held on November 15–16, 2025, in Ibadan, the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT) has scheduled a meeting for Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

The notice, signed by BoT Chairman Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, states that the meeting will hold in Abuja at 2 p.m., at 1 Sabo Ago Street, LifeCamp.

“This serves to formally invite all members of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 2pm. Venue is 1, Sabo Ago Street, LifeCamp, Abuja,” the notice read.

The statement emphasized that this BoT is the only one recognized as constituted by the Abdulrahman/Anyanwu-led National Caretaker Working Committee (NCWC), pursuant to the Federal High Court decision and ratified by the Court of Appeal. The notice also warned members to disregard any other purported BoT meeting invitations and clarified that only duly notified BoT members would be accredited to attend.

Last Monday, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP, led by Alhaji Taminu Turaki, expressed dissatisfaction with the verdict.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja upheld two Federal High Court judgments that voided the Ibadan convention, which produced factional party officers. The ruling, delivered by Justice Uchechukwu Onyemenam, also barred the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognising the convention’s outcome, citing violations of the Electoral Act and the 2022 Regulations and Guidelines for Political Parties.

The upcoming BoT meeting is widely seen as a critical step toward reconciling the party’s factions and stabilizing leadership following the protracted internal crisis.
