Polaris Bank has graduated 58 outstanding young professionals from its flagship Polaris Graduate Intensive Training (PGIT) and Polaris Tech Ignite Programme (PTIP), underscoring its commitment to nurturing world-class talent for Nigeria’s financial sector.
The graduation ceremony, attended by senior executives and industry stakeholders, celebrated a highly competitive cohort selected from more than 10,000 applicants—placing the graduates among the top 0.58 percent.
Addressing the new hires, Managing Director and CEO, Kayode Lawal, urged them to embrace continuous learning and adaptability in an increasingly technology-driven banking landscape.
“Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching,” Lawal said, noting that the rapid shift from a pre-digital era to one powered by Artificial Intelligence demands constant upskilling. He emphasized that professionals must evolve with changing technologies to remain relevant.
Beyond technical competence, Lawal stressed the importance of integrity, describing it as the foundation of a successful banking career. “Integrity is the hallmark of a banker—once you lose it, you lose everything. What we truly sell is our reputation,” he stated.

The PGIT and PTIP programmes are designed to provide intensive training in both banking operations and technology, equipping participants with the skills needed to excel in a rapidly evolving financial ecosystem.
