Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has disclosed a prolonged health battle that has left her confined to a wheelchair, sharing the update in an emotional video posted on her Instagram page to mark her 25th birthday.
The actress revealed that what began as a seemingly minor issue has progressed over several months, restricting her ability to move freely and keeping her away from social media. “For several months now, I lost my freedom to move around as I please. It started as something minor, very minor, but eventually led to this,” she said.
Daniels noted that her condition deteriorated significantly after the last public event she hosted, a Children’s Day carnival. Since then, she has undergone repeated medical tests. “It’s been one test after another that I jokingly started calling myself a lab rat,” she added.
She described the pain as excruciating and unpredictable. “The pain became, how can I explain this? The pain became excruciating. Sometimes I find myself walking well, and sometimes I just can’t move,” Daniels said.
In the video, the actress reflected on the emotional toll of the experience, saying she has cried and is relying on faith for recovery. “I cried. I looked on to God for His divine healing, as He alone has the final say on my life.” She concluded her message with a birthday prayer: “Hi everyone. It’s my Silver Jubilee. This new phase of my life, I pray to God for total calm. Happy birthday to me.”
