Several people are feared trapped following the collapse of a three-storey building in the Alakija area of Lagos State on Thursday.
The structure reportedly caved in at about 11:40 a.m. near the Alakija Bridge inward Satellite Town, triggering panic among residents and passersby in the busy area.
Police operatives from the Area E Command and the Satellite Division swiftly arrived at the scene and immediately joined local residents in efforts to rescue those believed to be trapped beneath the rubble.
Search and rescue operations are currently underway as emergency responders work to determine the number of victims and the extent of the damage.
Authorities are yet to confirm any casualties or the cause of the collapse. More details are expected as rescue efforts continue.
