Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, will headline the third edition of the Invest Lagos Summit, which begins today and runs through June 9.

Also expected as keynote speakers are Co-Chair of the Lagos Finance and Investment Council, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, and Chief Executive Officer of Moniepoint Group, Tosin Eniolorunda.

Organised by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, the summit aims to reinforce Lagos’ position as Africa’s leading hub for investment, trade, innovation, infrastructure development, and strategic economic partnerships.

This year’s summit will feature discussions centred on key themes including Lagos as Africa’s Global Gateway, the Future of Technology and Innovation, Unlocking Investment Opportunities, Building the Cities of the Future, Global Partnerships for Growth, Talent, Creativity and Culture, as well as Energy and Sustainability.

The event is expected to bring together policymakers, investors, business executives, development partners, and entrepreneurs from across the public and private sectors to explore opportunities in technology, infrastructure, manufacturing, finance, energy, creative industries, and urban development.

Speaking ahead of the summit, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy and Head of the Media Subcommittee, Gbenga Omotoso, said the event has been designed to deliver practical outcomes capable of attracting new investments into Lagos.

According to him, the summit will showcase ongoing government investments in transportation, technology, energy, manufacturing, tourism, and urban development while presenting viable opportunities for both local and international investors.

“Invest Lagos 3.0 is more than a conference; it is a strategic platform designed to connect investors with opportunities, facilitate meaningful partnerships, and showcase Lagos as Africa’s most attractive investment destination,” Omotoso said.

He added that the gathering would unite government officials, global investors, development institutions, and business leaders to identify opportunities that can stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and strengthen Nigeria’s economy.

In addition to panel discussions, the summit will feature investment pitches by state governors, exhibitions by participating organisations, networking sessions, a gala dinner, and guided visits to major industrial and infrastructure projects.

Participants will also tour strategic economic assets including the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Lagos Free Zone, Lagos Port, and RusselSmith’s advanced manufacturing facility.
