The family of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has announced plans for her burial following her death at the age of 40.
According to a funeral notice shared on the actress’ official Instagram page on Friday, Osoba will be laid to rest on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Saint James Anglican Church, Iperu Remo, Ogun State.
The family also asked mourners attending the burial service to dress in white as they gather to honour the late actress.
The burial announcement comes shortly after Osoba’s colleagues and friends unveiled plans for a candlelight and artiste night in her memory.
The tribute event, themed “An Evening of Love, Music & Memories,” is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at LTV 8, Blueroof, Ikeja, Lagos.
Osoba’s death was announced on Wednesday by fellow actor Alesh Sanni, who mourned her as his “dearest sister.”
The actress was known for her roles in Yoruba-language Nollywood productions and had previously spoken publicly about her battle with cancer.
In August 2025, Osoba announced her return to acting after undergoing treatment, saying the experience had strengthened her commitment to healing and advocacy.
Following her death, her family appealed to the public to disregard speculation about the circumstances surrounding her passing and respect their privacy as they mourn their loss.
