Tinubu Hails Leo Stan Ekeh at 70, Celebrates Zinox Founder as Trailblazer in Nigeria’s Tech Revolution

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Chairman of Zinox Group, Leo Stan Ekeh, on his 70th birthday, describing him as one of Nigeria’s foremost pioneers in the information technology sector.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President lauded Ekeh’s transformative contributions to the nation’s ICT and manufacturing landscape.

Tinubu recalled the 2001 launch of the Zinox range of indigenous computer products and accessories, describing it as “a groundbreaking moment for indigenous technology production” in Nigeria.

He praised the entrepreneur’s vision and resilience, noting that Ekeh has played a defining role in strengthening Nigeria’s technology ecosystem and promoting local manufacturing.

According to the President, the Zinox founder has consistently demonstrated leadership as a dynamic industrialist and pacesetter, while advancing the Nigerian brand on the global stage.

Tinubu further commended Ekeh’s commitment to youth empowerment and job creation, highlighting his efforts to open up opportunities for young Nigerians within the fast-evolving digital economy.

“As the Chairman of Zinox Group celebrates this milestone, President Tinubu wishes him good health and more years of groundbreaking accomplishments,” the statement added.

Ekeh’s Platinum Jubilee marks seven decades of life and over three decades of influence in Nigeria’s technology-driven industrial growth.
