President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed profound grief over the death of Chief Moses Adediran Adegbite, a devout Christian and highly respected community leader, describing him as a patriarch whose life embodied humility, integrity and selfless service to humanity.

Chief Adegbite, who passed away at the age of 86, was the father of Stephen Adegbite, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission and Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

In a condolence message issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President said the late elder statesman would be fondly remembered for his strong moral values, steadfast faith and the positive influence he exerted on his family and community.

According to President Tinubu, Chief Adegbite lived a fulfilled and impactful life marked by devotion to God, commitment to family and quiet but consistent service to society, noting that his legacy would endure across generations.

“Chief Adegbite’s legacy of integrity, faith and moral uprightness will continue to inspire generations,” the President said.

The President commiserated with Stephen Adegbite and other members of the bereaved family, praying for divine strength and comfort during what he described as a period of profound personal loss.

“I pray that Almighty God will grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.
