One of the leading commercial institution in Nigeria, United Bank for Africa (UBA) is currently running a shady business at the detriment of its customers.
For several days now, the services of UBA has been crippled in most part of Lagos due to their ‘logistic inefficiencies’.
At the early hours of today, May 27, 2014, most of the banking hall of the bank visited by our correspondent who is also a customer of the bank is filled up with customers waiting to withdraw their savings from the bank.
Surprisingly, the bank is accepting deposits from customers claiming their network is bad but they refused other customers who are willing to withdraw cash from their accounts for various reasons.
When our correspondent queried one of the staffer, she revealed that the problem wasn’t from their branch but from their headquarters in Marina, Lagos.
‘the problem we’re facing is not from us here, it is from Marina and there is nothing we can do to that right now. we’ll be communicated to once it has been rectified’, she revealed
when asked how long it will take, she quickly responded, ‘I cant categorically tell you when it will be because one can’t tell what the problem is’.
A customer revealed to our correspondent that its a logical way that the bank use in other to dupe its customers.
‘This only happens when they want to carry out their shady business, you wont be able to withdraw from anywhere until they are through with their looting.’
