When Politics and Sports collaborate! – Segun Odegbami
AFCON 2023 is around the corner.
As part of my strategic consultation to enable a comprehensive documenttion of the championship, I went to Sagamu, to the beautiful home of the former Governor of Ogun State, current Senator, the Arole of Remoland, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
I needed his collaboratiion in an attempt to take Nigerians on a ‘voyage’ to a place where they have never being before through a unique coverage of AFCON 2023 that I believe, rather recklesly and against the tide of general public opinion, that Nigeria will win,
He met me there, welcomed me warmly with both hands, threw open the vaults of his friendship, and offered me a blank cheque of support for my adventurous project which I will make public soon.
My excitement is building up as the countdown to the start of AFCON 2023 begins.
Next stop today – Oshogbo!!!
