Three hours ago, pop star Wizkid posted a picture of his New York show on his Instagram account. There is no big deal in that, as Wizkid is just advertising his New York gig which is going down at the Irving Plaza on July 26. The caption below the picture though unveils a sub by Wizzy to his pop arch rival Davido. The caption of the picture reads “Just landed in NYC! Lets turn up! We do proper shows nd proper venues! Lion!!! #Teamwizkid”
On March 28, Davido had a show in at Pulse 48, Brooklyn, New York. The show didn’t go as planned as Davido only performed for 15 minutes before the event was shut down by the New York Police Department because it was overcrowded. The event was the first stop of Davido’s USA/Canada Tour. After the fiasco of the NY show, Davido went online to apologise to fans who were upset.
Clearly, Wizkid is taking shots at Davido over his failed New York performance. It seems the beef between Davido and Wizkid which cooled off late 2012 is about to rear its head once again.
