A leading governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, Sharafadeen Alli, has intensified consultations ahead of the 2027 elections, meeting with party executives in Ward 3 of Ibadan North.
Alli, who currently represents Oyo South Senatorial District, held the strategic meeting on Saturday in Ibadan as part of groundwork leading to his official declaration scheduled for Friday.
The senator, who also holds the traditional title of Ekaarun Balogun of Ibadanland, used the forum to formally unveil his ambition to contest the Oyo State governorship election in 2027. Addressing party stakeholders, he stressed his preparedness to deliver purposeful leadership and a renewed vision for the state.
Alli described the APC as a credible platform capable of driving sustainable development and progressive governance in Oyo State. He urged members to remain united and committed as the party begins early mobilization toward the next electoral cycle.
According to him, collective effort and internal cohesion will be critical to the party’s success in 2027, noting that the journey to reclaiming leadership in the state requires dedication from all stakeholders.
