United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has been named one of the authorised financial institutions through which investors can subscribe to the highly anticipated Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE Initial Public Offering (IPO).
The bank confirmed in a statement that it will provide access to the public offer, giving Nigerians and eligible international investors the chance to own a stake in one of Africa’s largest industrial projects.
The IPO comprises 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at ₦525 per share. The minimum subscription is 10 shares, valued at ₦5,250, with investors free to apply for more shares under the terms of the offer.
The offer opened on Monday, 14 September 2026, and is scheduled to close on 13 October 2026, subject to the conditions set out in the offer documents.
UBA is urging its customers and members of the investing public to take advantage of its approved channels to participate.
Commenting on the development, Tosin Adewuyi, Executive Director Designate, UBA Group, said:
“We are pleased to be named as one of the approved financial institutions providing access to the Dangote Refinery public offer. At UBA, we remain committed to deepening financial inclusion and expanding opportunities for individuals and businesses to participate meaningfully in Nigeria’s capital market.
“This public offer provides eligible investors with an opportunity to participate in the ownership of a major Nigerian industrial enterprise. We encourage interested investors to obtain and carefully review the offer documents, understand the terms and risks involved, and make informed investment decisions.”
Eligible investors can subscribe through UBA’s designated channels. The bank advises all applicants to ensure their personal and banking details, including Bank Verification Number (BVN), are accurate and up to date before submitting applications.
UBA customers can access the offer via the bank’s approved platforms, subject to the applicable subscription process and terms.
The Dangote Refinery IPO is widely expected to rank among the landmark transactions in Nigeria’s capital market. It is structured to broaden ownership of the refinery and give retail investors a direct opportunity to invest in the business.
UBA is inviting individuals, professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, institutional investors and other eligible parties to subscribe through its platforms.
Investors are strongly advised to read the Prospectus and other offer documents carefully and to seek professional advice where necessary. Share investments carry risk, and the value of holdings may rise or fall.
The bank also cautioned investors to subscribe only through official, approved channels and to remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes. The official Dangote Refinery IPO website specifically warns that applicants should never disclose their PIN, password or OTP, or transfer money into any personal account.
