Nigerian billionaire, socialite and real estate mogul King Mohammed Odeh Adah, popularly known as King Ochacho, has strongly denied claims that the ₦400 million house he gifted TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat (Peller) during his wedding to content creator Jarvis came with any hidden agenda.
Speaking at an All White Lifestyle Party in Lagos on Sunday, 21 September, the businessman addressed the swirling controversy head-on. Online critics and bloggers had alleged that the generous wedding present was designed to secure promotional support for Ochacho’s son, rising singer Ice King.
“I didn’t give him the house to come and start advertising my son. No! It’s not because of my son’s music. I just gave it to him from my heart,” Ochacho declared during an outdoor interview.
He further clarified that the property is still under construction and not yet ready for handover. “As I speak to you now, the house is under construction. I am trying to put it together to hand over to them,” he explained.
In a further show of goodwill, the billionaire announced he is adding another ₦100 million specifically for furnishing the home, giving Peller the freedom to guide its interior design.
Ochacho maintained that Peller’s decision to promote Ice King’s music was entirely voluntary, a gesture that simply inspired him to do even more for the popular streamer.
