Nigerian singer Crayon has stirred controversy online after publicly criticising the leadership of his record label in a series of posts shared on social media.

The artist, who is signed to Blowtime Entertainment, an imprint of Mavin Records, took to his account on X to express frustration with the label and its management.

In one of the posts that quickly drew attention online, Crayon appeared to take a swipe at the label’s founder, Don Jazzy.

“Don Jazzy na my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!!?? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333,” the singer wrote.

Crayon also criticised Tega Oghenejobo, referring to him in one post as a “highest criminal.”

In another message that generated widespread reaction online, the singer made a startling claim that he lost his mother because of the label, though he did not provide further explanation or details regarding the allegation.

He also posted, “Mavin is going down!!!!!!,” further fuelling speculation about tensions between him and the record label.

The posts have triggered intense reactions among fans and industry observers, with many questioning whether the singer’s relationship with Mavin Records has broken down.

However, it remains unclear whether Crayon’s social media account may have been compromised.

The singer has continued posting normally on his Instagram page without indicating that his account was hacked.

Adding to the speculation, Crayon recently shared details about what appears to be a new venture called Olodum Entertainment, including a new booking email address on his Instagram page.

The development has intensified rumours that the singer could be planning to part ways with Mavin Records, although neither Crayon nor the label has officially confirmed any split.

Crayon joined Blowtime Entertainment, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in May 2019 and has released several songs under the label since signing the deal
