Veteran reggae fusion singer/songwriter, Diana King arrived for the first time in Nigeria on Sunday, July 6. According to King, it’s her first time in Africa and she is very excited about it.
The reggae artiste is in the country to collaborate with RnB singer, Praiz on the remix of his latest hit “Mercy”. The recording is reportedly to be held during this week.
The chorus of Mercy was actually a little bit of a sample of King’s 1993 hit single ‘Shy Guy’. Earlier this year, when the single was first released, Diana King showed interest in the song and tweeted a link to Mercy’s video, indicating that she loved the song and it was a favourite of hers.
The duo of Praiz and King are scheduled to perform at the MTN music app launch which is coming go this weekend and there is a possibility they will be performing the track if they have recorded it by then. Mercy remix is one track to be anticipated, especially for the 90s reggae fans.
