Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has revealed a significant shift in her dating preferences, saying she now leans toward working-class men who keep a low profile and stay off social media.
Speaking during an appearance on The ZEZE Millz Show, the 33-year-old entertainer explained that after dating men from various backgrounds, she has found herself drawn to partners with regular 9-to-5 jobs who are not overly concerned with online visibility.
According to her, these types of men offer a refreshing change from her past experiences. She added that she often meets such individuals through dating applications.
“I’ve dated all kinds of men—well, not every single kind, but a lot of different types. What I find is working for me right now is the 9-to-5, no social media, super-like-doesn’t-care type. I find them on apps,” she said.
Cuppy also disclosed that she is active on exclusive dating platforms such as Raya and The League, noting that access to The League comes at a premium cost of £400.
“I’m on Raya, but I’m also on something called ‘The League’ as well… ‘The League’ is definitely £400 to join, I can’t lie,” she added.
Despite her current preference, the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola emphasized the importance of keeping an open mind when it comes to dating.
She shared that her dating history includes a wide range of individuals, from a bus driver to a model and even a footballer, highlighting her belief that dating should be about connection and understanding rather than status.
“I’ve gone on a date with a bus driver… I’ve gone on a date with a model, I’ve been on a date with a footballer… so many! With dating, you have to be open-minded,” she said.
Cuppy concluded by describing dating as an opportunity for meaningful conversations and personal discovery, adding that she genuinely enjoys the process of getting to know new people.
