A dramatic moment unfolded at the white wedding of popular content creators Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and Elizabeth Aminata Amadu, also known as Jarvis, after Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti walked out of the reception in Lagos.
Seun Kuti reportedly left the ceremony after the event’s master of ceremonies (MC) made a remark comparing today’s Afrobeats artistes to his late father, legendary Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
A video circulating online captured the singer expressing his displeasure as he exited the venue, saying he was “in the wrong place” following the controversial comparison.
Despite Kuti’s departure, the star-studded ceremony continued as planned, with celebrities, entertainers and digital creators celebrating the couple’s union.
Ahead of the wedding, Peller revealed that he had been attending private marriage counselling sessions to prepare for married life with Jarvis.
Speaking during a livestream, the content creator said the counselling programme was aimed at helping him become a better husband and explained that it also accounted for his reduced activity on social media.
Peller further disclosed that he purchased a $36,000 television broadcast van to ensure the wedding was aired live for fans across Nigeria and beyond.
“I have been attending marriage counseling privately to learn how to treat Jarvis properly. That is why I have not been active on social media like before. I even bought a $36,000 TV van for our wedding because I want the whole of Nigeria to watch it live on television,” he said.
The couple had earlier announced that their white wedding would take place on August 1, 2026, generating excitement among their supporters.
