Following recent publications by this online news medium on the unprofessional activities of the management of Ahmadiyya Muslim Hospital Ojokoro, Lagos State, the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) has moved to shut down the medical facility for violation of laid down rules for the private healthcare sector in Lagos State.
The action we learn was in line with the agency’s primary function of improving the healthcare service delivery in Lagos State, protecting the lives of Lagosians by setting standards and enforcing compliance by public and private operators of medical facilities in the centre of excellence.
When our correspondent contacted the hospital secretary Mr Olutoye Bashorun to confirm the action by HEFAMAA, he stated that he has been instructed not to comment on questions regarding the hospital henceforth by the hospital management committee as the Ahmadiyya Mission, the owners of the hospital has stepped in to take control and are now in charge of the operations of the hospital

Good morning dearest colleague. I have read the update on your story on the ahmadiyya hospital Ojokoro. Unfortunately your source of the news on the hospital has been through the Ahmadiyya muslim Jama’at not the Mission as quoted. You got the name of the new Doctor at the hospital wrong. You should have also done due diligence on the new Doctor to appreciate Ahmadiyya concerns on issues thrown up. Apart from being the first Nigerian Ahmadi Medical Doctor for life devotion in the 1980’s , he is former Executive member, Nigerian Medical Association,NMA. More importantly he retired from the Ogun State health services after 35 years.
Dear colleagues, let us be very thorough in our reportage.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria is a global Islamic organization with pedigree and unassailable success stories in the areas humanitarian services and Islamic evangelization. We equally had a board in charge Of Ahmadiyya hospitals and schools. Pls kindly feel free to obtain credible information from this organization.
…. your sources of stories have been through the ‘ Secretary to the Hospital ‘ not the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at. The owner of the hospital is not Ahmadiyya Muslim mission.
