The news is all around town about the fire which gutted popular celebrity hang out and the most expensive club in Nigeria, Quilox, owned by Shina Peller yesterday Dec 20 2014.
The fire which had thick smoke billowing into the night sky was, according to sources at the scene, started in a small corner of the club.
Although no life was lost, but as at the time of filing this report the extent of the damage caused by the inferno cannot be quantified. The question begging for answer now is, did the management put any measures in place to forestall the breakout of fire and ensure the safety of lives and property if the fire that started in a small corner of the building could not be put out immediately.
They said it took two hours for the fire fighter to arrive with their 1978 firefighting equipment. Well, night crawlers that were at the scene of the hotel thought it was bomb blast as they all ran for safety.
