Nigerian singer Qdot has relived a harrowing chapter of his life, revealing how a gunpoint robbery at his residence in September 2025 left him traumatised and battling fear months later.
Channeling his pain into music, the singer released a new song titled 28 of Sept in January 2026, using the track as a raw and emotional reflection of the violent incident.
In the song, Qdot describes the robbery as the most terrifying moment of his life, narrating how armed assailants invaded his home and dispossessed him of his phones and laptops, while also emptying his bank accounts and taking over his social media platforms.
The deeply personal track explores themes of survival, faith, gratitude and resilience, offering listeners a glimpse into the emotional scars left by the attack.
Beyond the music, Qdot disclosed that the trauma continues to affect his daily life. In a post shared on X, the singer revealed that he wakes up every night around 2:30 a.m., gripped by fear and unable to sleep peacefully.
“Even though September 28 has passed, the trauma is still with me,” he wrote, appealing for healing and inner peace.
Qdot also called on the government and security agencies to take stronger action against violent crime, tagging Lagos State authorities and the police as he pleaded for decisive intervention to prevent others from suffering similar ordeals.
The singer’s revelation has sparked renewed conversations around insecurity and the lingering psychological impact of violent crime on its victims.
