Speculation of a fallout between Nigerian influencer VeryDarkMan and Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has intensified after the duo unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The social media move, which comes amid VeryDarkMan’s ongoing legal dispute with Blord, has triggered widespread reactions online, with fans suggesting a possible rift between the once-close associates.
Although neither party has publicly addressed the situation, Seun Kuti appeared to take a swipe at VeryDarkMan’s fanbase—popularly known as “Ratel”—in a now-viral Instagram story post.
“You are rats, not ratels. Why una dey disguise?” the singer wrote, further fueling speculation of tension.
The development comes just weeks after VeryDarkMan publicly backed Seun Kuti during his online clash with Wizkidover alleged disrespect toward the legacy of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.
VeryDarkMan, widely regarded as a close ally of Seun, had also recently visited Fela Kuti’s gravesite, where he reportedly performed a ritual involving a ram—an act that drew mixed reactions across social media.
While the exact cause of the apparent fallout remains unclear, the unfollowing and subtle online jabs have continued to stir debate, leaving fans watching closely for further developments.
