American singer Jason Derulo has admitted he never imagined he would still be single at the age of 37, revealing that his outlook on relationships has evolved significantly over time.

Speaking during an interview with Graham Bensinger, the “Don’t Wanna Go Home” hitmaker said his younger self had always expected to settle down much earlier in life.

However, Derulo explained that witnessing numerous breakups and complicated relationship dynamics has made him more cautious about commitment.

“I thought I was going to marry a lot of the girls I dated. Never in a million years did I think that I would be 37 and single,” he said.

The singer noted that real-life experiences, including seeing marriages fall apart unexpectedly, have reshaped his perspective on love and long-term commitment.

“I have seen too much in my life. You can imagine the things I have seen — married women leaving their spouses on the spot, leaving their men in the club,” he added.

According to Derulo, these experiences have led him to reassess his expectations, admitting that he has “seen everything under the sun” when it comes to relationships.
